My Approach

I have a strong track record of working with parents, building relationships and connecting with youth who are reluctant or nervous about therapy. I give you the tools to be kinder to yourself, to find your way back to your body, and step back into your life refreshed and empowered.

In sessions we look at how you can change your situation or how your situation is changing you. I help individuals let go of unhealthy habits. I help couples and parents readjust their perspectives and priorities and find the joy in their relationships. I offer practical tools and skills to help you deal with anxiety, mood issues and life transitions.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What can I expect during my first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet face-to-face. I will conduct a comprehensive intake, which will take into account your personal history, present-day concerns, and your needs during the therapeutic process. If you have specific goals for therapy, you can talk about those, too. Together, we will address any questions you have regarding therapy, and identify a plan to move forward with. If you agree to continue working together, therapy will begin during the following session.

How long I will be in Therapy for?
Depending on your needs and goals, we can determine together how long would be most helpful and beneficial to you.

How often do I need to come in?
Therapy is most powerful when it's conducted weekly. This is verified by countless studies and my professional experience as a therapist. Without a doubt, we’ve found that clients who commit to weekly sessions for the duration of treatment make the greatest transformations. Occasionally, it may be appropriate to meet more or less often, depending on your needs.
How long is an appointment?
A standard individual session is 45 minutes long. Appointments are typically at the same day and time each week.
